Well, a quick note... I was organizing my Mac disks tonight, and I noticed that "Streethawk" was on. SImply put, it is not merely bad (being bad is a rather common factor in television, after all -- in my opinion, at least 50% of TV broadcast is *bad* (as in rotton)); Streethawk is offensive, and comes close to peverse. The basic premise is a infantile, shallow, and fairly thick-witted barbarian (no, I'm not exagerating... this is the type of low-grade moron you find hanging around shopping malls) is given the latest government chase cycle, full of physically impossible hardware, and kept up by another stereotypical computer nerd, to fight crime, beat the crap out of L.A. unfortunates, and fart in the general direction of civiliziation. Oh, and to get laid as often (did I forget that? Integral plot device...). He also has female boss who has an I.Q. just slightly higher than his, but manages to always find herself in a situation where his help is needed (I believe George Carlin called this the "man-on-top-get-it-over-with-quick" syndrome). Needless to say, I got a lot of work done... I hope no one calls "Streethawk" a TV show for those with 5-year-old mentalities. Most 5-year-olds are extremely bright, and will avoid this unless their wits have been dulled into applesauce. This is not entertaining junk (like "V") or junk ("The Love Boat" or Captain T.J. Hookirk) -- it is refuse, if I may quote Michael Palin, "of the shoddiest kind". Avoid it... "My friends, it is better to look good than to feel good." Moriarty, aka Jeff Meyer John Fluke Mfg.
