"Burns and Allen" shows can be divided into two very distinct periods.

The shows set in the Burns' Beverly Hills house are almost always
hilarious.  The shows set in a New York hotel are almost always dumb.

The latter shows always revolve around Ronnie rather than Gracie, and
the result is awful.  Ronnie is just not funny.
