She did most of the female vocals on the "Bat Out Of Hell" album, but she didn't tour with Meat Loaf (at least not on the tour I saw in '78. Karla DeVito replaced her). After that, she became the girlfriend of one of The Clash (I can't remember whether it was Strummer or Jones), and helped out on "Sandinista!" (their best album by far in my opinion, but many disagree). Shortly after that she did an album of her own, which consisted mostly of Strummer-Jones compositions. I haven't heard it but I've been told that, as you might expect, it sounds very Clash-like. I can't remember the name of the album, but I think it's two words, one of which is "night." (I don't think the other is "court".) That's the last I heard of her until she popped up on "Night Court". Concerning your question about Ellen Floey, yes, she is the same Ellen Foley that played with Meatloaf. She also has 2 albums of her own out (Night Out?).

An interesting coincidence: Monday night, PBS ran a short starring Ellen Foley in order to fill up time after *American Playhouse*. She was portraying a very frustrated actress trying to make a TV commercial. It was pretty funny.
