Marine Boy didn't need any breathing aparatus because he used "Oxygum." As long as he chewed it, he had enough oxygen. His pet dolphin's name was Splasher, and he knew a mermaid who had a magic pearl. I don't remember the mermaid's name, though. Marine boy had propeller boots so that he could keep up with the bad guys, and he had a boomerang to disable (but never kill) those bad evil-doers. He could destroy underwater rock formations, but somehow, it never did anything but twist the ankles of the bad guys. My favorite undersea character is, naturally, Aquaman. He turned wimpy when he joined the Justice League, though. His greatness lives on in the hearts of the faithful.... Alan ..tektronix!reed!schmidt
