I second the recommendation, a very good show!  The second Lupin movie
mentioned is "The Mystery of Mamo", the surrealistic one where the
villian looks like Paul Williams.  The tv show has 3 incarnations -
23 episodes in 1971-72, 155 episodes in 1977-80, and the current
show - Lupin III, part 3, that started last March and is still running
as far as I know.  They changed the character designs for the new show
to be more like the appearance of the original comic.

You left out Fujiko, ever-present love (well lust anyway) interest and
rival for things stolen.  Whichever side she's working each episode,
she's usually the only one to really come out ahead.  And then there
is the Inspector, a diligent, if somewhat inept policeman dedicated
to catching Lupin, even if he goes crazy in the process.
