Anybody remember a TV show with the name "The Immortal". It was about a man with rare blood that stopped him from aging, or ever getting sick. A billionaire who was dying spent the length of the series trying to get some of this guys blood. Anybody remember how the series ended? -- Netnews is MORE FUN then Human Beings should be allowed to have! Marc Schare (pyuxd!marc)

<bug eater line> The series starred Christopher George. He made his living as a race car driver, and was being pursued by an old guy who needed periodic transfusions of the guy's blood to stay alive. Neat enough idea, though it got tedious after a while; aside from the immortality gimmick, the series was a lot like "The Fugitive" (or for that matter any of the other series of the same genre). Sorry, no idea how it ended. -- -Bernie Roehl (University of Waterloo) ...decvax!watmath!wateng!broehl

Actually, the "billionaire" didn't just want SOME of his blood. He wanted to keep the guy around forever supplying blood for as long as needed. The show ended when the ratings proved singularly disappointing. Not even "immortal" blood could save that show. --Lauren--
