You're all wrong about Jackie Gleason. He was the original Reilly for the firstseason of the show, 1949-50. He played the character exactly as though he was Ralph Kramden. It was William Bendix who introduced a new "style" to Chester A. Reilly. David Cherson "What a revoltin' development this is!"
