[net.tv] Twilight Zone returns

ables@mcc-db.UUCP (King Ables) (04/22/85)

I just saw in the paper that CBS plans to revive Twilight Zone next
season. They have given it a 1 hour time slot and each episode will
be made up of 2 to 4 smaller stories (formatted like the movie, I
guess). Some of the new writers for the new show listed were Asimov,
Bradbury, and Clarke. They stressed, however, that this didn't mean it
was going to be a "sci-fi" show just because of the people writing... it
was really going to be just like the old TZ. We'll see...

It'll run for 13 weeks for a start--

My fearless prediction is that it will never reach week 14.

The reason CBS has been stressing that the new Twilight Zone won't be science
fiction is that they feel it would limit their audience. There's been more
information about the new show in Twilight Zone magazine. They plan to have
some new stories and some remakes of old stories.
