One of my favorites is PBS's Mystery titles, as drawn from Gorey. (If anyone out there hasn't read "The Unstrung Harp" or "The Curious Sofa" or other Gorey strangenesses, I highly recommend them. Many of the best ones are collected in the anthology AMPHIBOREY.) I liked the titles for "I Spy," particularly the point at which the cartoon figure turns from a tennis stroke to holding a gun. And "Wild Wild West" for its animated titles. And "Quincy," particularly the fainting policeman (though the shot of Quincy examining an arm which turns out to belong to a living woman, not a corpse, was also amusing). --Lee Gold

>After the finger snapping sequence, the final verse is: > So gather with your shawl on, > A broomstick you can crawl on, > We're going to pay a call on > The Addams Family! > > >-- > -Bernie Roehl (University of Waterloo) I thought it was "So get your witch's shawl on." Anybody? ck.
