[We join our tale of woe as yet another life goes down the toilet...] If you're like me, you like to see promising young stars plummet into ruin and dispair. Well, remember Fridays? A live 90 minute comedy show on ABC. It was better than Saturday Night Live at the time since the SNL crew had been recruited from various Salvation Army Missions throughout the Bowery. Anyway, the delicious and talented star of Fridays was, of course, Melanie Chartoff. Does anyone remember her? More important, has anyone seen the newest ad for Raisin Bran Cerial? Hoo-boy, when she traded in her dignity, she didn't get book value. "They CAN'T put more raisins in there," she whines miserably; perhaps they want you to buy Raisin Bran out of pity. She probably has huge debts from the gambling and drugs and can't even get a credit card. The upshot of all this is now I have a better chance than ever to get into her pants. Life!
