In fact, many of our sitcoms (especially ABC's) have been based on British shows (Too Close For Comfort, Oh Madeline, etc.). I'm sure someone on the net can provide an exhaustive list.

I remember when the series was first on it was "Man About The House". "Man About The House" changed to "Robin's Nest" when Robin got married and started a restaurant with his wife (sound familiar?). He didn't get along with his father-in-law. Chrissy (I think) married Robin's brother in the last episode of "Man". Diane Wilkerson ..!hopd4!dvw
