I watched the repeat of the "The Compleat Gilbert & Sullivan" presentation
of "The Sorceror" last night, with Clive Revill playing John Wellington
Wells.

Anyone out there know if this is the same actor who played the evil
wizard Vector in the short-lived "Wizards and Warriors"?  If so, it
certainly seems an interesting cast of typecasting.

You've got it. That is the same dastardly villian in W&W. I also noticed
the same simularity in casting.
