[net.tv] St. Elsewhere premiere

Well, a few notes: the black humor seems on the rise (the cafeteria cashier
having a heart attack when a "doctor" tells her to keep the change), as are
the in-jokes ("And then Magruder got Loud!" (awful show to get vocal about),
L.L. Bean, T.J. Hooker, R.E.O. Speedwagon). However, that's typical for a
season starter, and towards the end, the same power found in so many of the
shows rears its head. The results of John Doe's brain operation, and the trip
to the Vietnam memorial in Washington -- very well done, especially if
you've been there; it has somewhat of the same effect on me, although I lost
no one in that war.

Oh, and Dr. Westphall shows up by the end of the show. Phew!

"But like the Good Books says... There's BIGGER DEALS to come!"
