After seeing the second episode of HSB (more of a "real" episode than the first, as this is full of continued plotlines), I think I can safely say that it is up to the high standards of last season. I would have liked a little more explanation of Patsy (she transferred to Midtown -- maybe because of Harry's condition?) and Fay (the victim's aid services has been moved to another precint also). More excellent moments, and a subplot of an investigation into the PD's crime problem (with Frank and Irwin Bernstein at the center) which should be very interesting. Along with Cosby, Cheers & Night Court, NBC continues to make Thursday the very best night of TV you can get. Now, if they would just not broadcast the &%^#$! baseball games all next week... I also thought the second episode was much better. I was relieved to see Ray Caiatano make it through an episode without whining about being Hispanic. (Before you flame me for prejudice, it's the whining that bothered me, not his heritage.) My big gripe is the Dennis Franz character. What a SLEEZE!!!!! I didn't like the Benidetto character (as if you were supposed to..) and I can see that I'm not going to like the scumbag Franz plays now. Overall though, the season looks promising. -- Edward C.
