My VCR screwed up and the first 5 minutes of Amazing Stories was nearly indecipherable. So I ask, who was responsible for this episode? I hope it wasn't Spielberg. If it was, he must be trying to flush his reputation down the tiolet. This second story wasn't as bad as the first but it's no incentive to suffer any more shows. First, 15 minutes of the main character showing what an ass- hole he is; then, 15 minutes of him trying to pry himself off metal objects. He got what he deserved in the end, but the minute you saw the ruler on his back, you knew the rest of the plot. And I'll bet the title gave away the whole story from time zero, right? This show should be have been paired off with something like "Punky Brewster" instead of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". The second "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" was much better than the first: a lot less wasted time and less predictable. The actress who played the nurse really looked and played the part well. I really felt sick and sorry for her and then when the ending came, God, was that great! Does anyone know the source for this episode? I'm definitely watching Alfred again. By the way, how's "Twilight Zone" going? _________________________Bert S.F. Lo (lo@harvard.ARPA)_________________________
