  I have a friend working on a learning chess program.  He needs
information on obtaining copies of games or positions in machine
readable form.  Best would be GM games or game fragments, although
any collection of chess positions with moves and/or evaluations
would help.

  If you have something like this, or have pointers to something
like this, send me mail and I will forward.
