I happened to catch a bit of Miami Vice 
on Friday, 11/1.  I think I've seen the woman
with the baby (I didn't get her name) in the
movie "Stranger Than Paradise?"

Am I correcto?

yes, it's the same woman. she played the cousin ( i forget the name ) in 
Stranger Than Paradise.  Her name is Ezster Balint.
