What happened to Murphy and Ms. Fox/Wolf? Answer: When Remington Steele was renewed, the network dedicated a change in format. This resulting in the dropping of Murphy and Bernice and the introduction of Mildred. The revamping of Laura's clothes was also ordered by the network executives. It seems it was the big wigs opinion that Laura was too doody and business-like in her dress. They wanted more silks and satins or something. Must be the network exectives are intimidated by business-like women or maybe they think only bounce and jiggle will sell on prime time. Not Pleased with network nim-wits Miriam Harvey
