Have you tried looking in the 'TV Theme Song Book II' (or some title like that). I saw the book only shortly in a bookstore and I thought the theme was in there. For other theme songs, you can also check the 'TV Theme Song Book', which I have a copy of. It has the themes for Addam's Family, Bonanza, ( I didn't bring it in soon enough before the question for those lyrics were posted) ,and even lyrics for Star Trek and Leave It To Beaver, to name just a few. Many of the songs come with the music so you can play them on your favorite instrument. Scott A. Stewart LMSC - Sunnyvale

[The postman hits! --More--] [You have new mail.] > > now I hope someone can help me. I need the words to > the theme song of The Partridge Family tv show. Don't confuse > this with The Brady Bunch("Here's a story of a lonely lady..."). How about this: Come on now and meet everybody And hear us singin' There's nothing better than being together When we're singin' Five of us and Mom working all day We knew we could make it if our music would pay And Danny got Reuben to sell our song And it really came together when Mom sang along Come on now and meet everybody And hear us singin' There's nothing better than being together When we're singin' When we're singin' When we're singin' This is from memory, so there may be a word or two off: I haven't seen any Partridge Family reruns in a long time. NOW -- for some true trivia: can anyone recite the lyrics to the other TWO theme songs? The first theme appeared only on the pilot episode; the second is the one listed above, and the third had the same melody as the second, but had different lyrics, and was called "Come on Get Happy." Any takers? Any replies should be posted to a more appropriate newsgroup -- let's keep this discussion to net.games.trivia where it belongs. Bill

Uh, by the way, that was "lovely" not "lonely." Just what kind of show do you think that was?? :-) > NOW -- for some true trivia: can anyone recite the lyrics to the other TWO > theme songs? Any takers? I remember "Come On Get Happy," however, I don't remember the one you posted... (though I did recognize about 3 of the lines but I thought the rest of the lyrics were very different, but I, too, haven't seen the show in a long time, so you never know). From a very old audio cassette I made as a kid (don't ask me why, it's a long story): Come on world, here's the song that we're singing "Come on get happy." A whole lot of lovin' is what we'll be bringing We'll make you happy. We had a dream we'd go travelin' together We'd spread a little love and it would keep moving on Something always happens whenever we're together We get a happy feeling when we're singing a song. Travelin' along there's a song that we're singing "Come on get happy" We'll make you happy. > Any replies should be posted to a more appropriate newsgroup -- let's > keep this discussion to net.games.trivia where it belongs. I think it belongs in net.tv. I feel like this is more tv fandom than trivia (I know people who divide trivia into two categories: REAL trivia and garbage trivia... guess where this would fall!). -King ARPA: ables@mcc UUCP: {ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!im4u!milano!mcc-pp!ables or ut-sally!mcc-db2!ables
