My girlfriend has been trying to find a version of a movie or a children's special, or something (I'm not sure which). It has been shown on the kid's after school special at least once. It was made in England, I think. A kid finds a ball bearing looking thing that came out of a spaceship. He takes it home and drops it into a cake batter, and the ball bearing sucks up all the batter (not sure why the kid would drop a ball bearing into cake batter, but anyhow...). After it eats up more food, the kid takes it to a supermarket where it starts eating more food. Some antagonist adult is trying to get the ball bearing and follows the kid to the supermarket. While he chases the ball bearing around the store, the spaceship drops a lot of ball bearings and they knock the antagonist down and roll him away. The ball bearings then go back to the spaceship and leave. There's obviously more to it than just this, but I don't think that very many other movies contain these elements, so this should lead to a unique match. We are interested in ANY information about this, like the title perhaps, or better yet where a tape of it can be had. Please respond via email.
