[net.tv] The New Jetsons

I love the Jetsons, but has anyone seen the new series? It runs on
channel 11, New York, and I don't know where else. I hate it!!!
The animation sucks, the plots are stupid, and Mr. Spacely sounds
just like Yosemite Sam!!!! Arrrgghhh...

Who else has seen it? Does *anyone* like it?

	You're right...Mel Blanc's voice just doesn't fit Mr. Spacely,
and the plots are poor, but aren't you glad someone is finally doing
something about the 'cartoons' these days? Aren't you sick and tired
of the Smurfs and Pac-man and He-man and Transformers and all that other
garbage ? Don't your remember the days of Bugs Bunny, The Roadrunner,
Droopy, and The old Scooby-Doo? Now, THOSE were cartoons.

I definitely have to agree here. The new Jetsons was VERY disappointing.
Yes, I am sick of all the Smurfs, He-Mans, Transformers, etc, but then again,
I was sick of them the first time I saw them. I do have to add a few others,
though, especially MY favorite, "Tom & Jerry", circa mid 1950's. Also as
honorable mentions, "Yogi Bear", "Rocky and Bullwinkle", "Super Chicken",
"George of The Jungle" (we're talking OLD here!!!!).

The answer to the first question is yes someone else has seen it and
NO I don't like it. I caught the show where they were doing YET ANOTHER
version of "A Christmas Carol" which was easily the worst version I have
ever seen of this classic story. The only reason that Spacely came around
is that he saw in the future that Astro (the Tiny Tim character) was going
to die from swallowing a Spacely Sprocket that was in a Christmas toy of
his and George was going to sue Spacely Sprockets and get all his money.
Great moral, right? Ah for the days of George of the Jungle.

Yes, those were my ol' time favorites! But, if they can't re-make
them right I wish they wouldn't re-make them at all. Like some
of those re-made specials for holidays, they just can't compare.
Also, I do hate the smurf, pac-man, go-bots, etc... ack, gak, barf.

Dirty Joke:

Q: What do you get when you cross a smurf with a prostitute?

A: A little blue f*cker about this high. :-)
