My vote:

The Wendy's commercials poking fun at the Soviet Union.
("One choice is no choice...")
I am sick of Red-bashing and don't see how it can be
healthy for international understanding...

Aw, poo. I thought it was hilarious. If we can't laugh at
stereotypes then we're in sad shape.

Laughing off stereotypes of _ourselves_ is one thing. Laughing
at stereotypes of other people is just plain meanspiritedness.

I wouldn't exactly call that commercial red bashing. Russians always
joke about the availability of things. If a Russian sees a line up on the
streets of Moscow, what does he do? He joins it, it must be good. I have
relatives a Soviet Socialist Republic, and that really represents life,
they don't cry about it, they laugh about it the best they can. Worrying
they save for the mental hospitals, compulsory military service, GRB and KGB,

I dont want to get too serious here buuuuuutttttt.....

Its just too bad that the great majority of Americans think that
the stereotypes you are laughing at are true. If it weren't for the
ignorance of the general public and the arrogance of our government I'd
be laughing too, because the commercial is quite funny.
