In response to my request for information on choosing a cartridge I received the sound advice to "let your ears do the picking". I also received recommendations on particular brands and models: Dynavector Ruby 23R, a moving cartridge for about $250. Shure cartridges, $25-30 (M75 and M95), $60 M97, $100 V15 IV. Signet TK7SU -- (micro) moving magnet(s), nude-mounted Shibata stylus, about $180.00. Signet also has cheaper models. /alan feuer (eagle!arf)
