#N:pur-ee:12000004:000:728 pur-ee!davy Nov 15 13:50:00 1982 I have a static electricity problem, now that cold weather is here. Whenever I touch my stereo (the receiver or the tape deck, anyway), you can hear this "ZAP!" through the speakers. I'd like to cure this problem, as I'm worried not only about damaging the stereo and the speakers, but it doesn't sound good, either. A friend mentioned grounding the speakers and putting a capacitor between something or other. Anyone with any suggestions on how to cure this problem (don't tell me to buy a humidifier, I'm looking for a cheaper solution), please mail me a note.
