I don't want to rehash the same points over again, but I haven't seen this subject covered yet (maybe I wasn't watching). Digital audio always has such impressive distortion figures because distortion is typically measured with a relatively large amplitude signal. Because it is quantized, is there a problem that distortion (and noise) increase for lower level signals? In some of the better analog stuff (class A and to some degree quasi-A and FET) this effect does not occur (though the noise floor is still there). Is this significant or am I mixed up? The digital discs I have heard sound good, but then I don't usually listen THAT critically. gLEN oKITA
