Surely this has been discussed before in this newsgroup, but I've been away a while. I would like to receive reasonably objective reports from people on their experiences of sonic differences in turntables that can be *directly* attributed to the drive mechanism. Any references to or reports of the results of (double-)blind listening tests are particularly encouraged. Please identify the approximate price of the units in question as well as tonearm type/tracking, and cartridge type/price. Please MAIL responses to me.
