#N:pur-ee:12000011:000:568 pur-ee!davy Jan 24 07:40:00 1983 Has anyone out there hooked their TV's audio up to their stereo? I'm thinking of adding the necessary stuff so that I can plug the TV into the "AUX" input on my stereo, in order that I can get better sound when listening to stuff like concerts on HBO. If anyone has done this, or if you have any suggestions on what the easiest way to do it is (I want to bypass the TV's volume control, I think), please reply to me via mail. If there's enough interest, I'll summarize to the net. --Dave Curry decvax!pur-ee!davy ihnss!pur-ee!davy ucbvax!pur-ee!davy

One quick and easy way to pipe your TV's sound through your stereo is via the earphone jack on the TV, assuming it has one. Use a "Y" connector to connect to the "aux" inputs. You may need a step up connector if the "Y" plug and earphone jack have different diameters. The sound is mono, of course, but it works.
