[net.audio] Impulse Noise Reduction?

    I'm looking for some information on how an Impulse Noise Reduction
  Unit works. This thing detects pops & clicks (from scratched albums, etc.)
  and removes them from the program material.

    Anyone know a good source of information on a circuit like this?
    (A circuit diagram or block diagram would be nice)

    (Too bad (for me) there isn't a net.peachykeencircuits).
