One comment that one audio salesman made to me when I asked him about
dbx encoding is that the best decks, like Nakamichi and Revox, etc.
don't include it in their top-of-the-line models, so even in cheaper
models Dolby B or B&C is the best bet.  Not a particularly convincing
argument, but it is true that these companies do not make a dbx deck,
whereas dbx is now appearing on cheaper and cheaper decks.  What do you
think about this?
