Tuesday I purchased a Gujdorf 1860 equipment cabinet from Bamberger's at a sale price of $100. So far as I know, it is still on sale; I saw it at another audio store for $160 and Bammie's lists it for $200. The cabinet is walnut-grained plastic veneer that looks presentable with glass front doors and black shelves and top. It has wheels. Dimensions are about 42 x 23 x 16; I have slightly underestimated. The back is about half open for wires and air circulation. The shelves are all adjustable, but none pull out--thus your record player (of any sort) will probably have to go on top. There is provision for record storage, but the entire unit could also be filled with equipment. The unit comes knocked down; it took me several hours to assemble. The instructions are quite clear and they provide tools. I did decide to drill two holes myself rather than use the self-tapping screws to do it. One note--the basic material is fiberboard so that the entire unit in its box is very heavy. If you have to carry it far, get help or plan to open the box and carry the pieces. Charles
