On page 29 of the April Scientific American, there is an ad from Dak Industries for a "close-out" sale on BSR EQ-2 equalizers. They want $79 + $6 (postage & handling). The story they give is that BSR has decided to use only the ADC name from now on and so Dak got hold of a bunch of "BSR" versions cheap. As a quick summary, the EQ-2 gives you +-12 dB with 1 1/2-octave filters (more or less). They quote some impressive S/N and distortion statistics, but then again equalizers, even cheap ones, always have good numbers. Anyone know anything about either the BSR EQ-2 or DAK? (They seem to advertise in Scientific American every month, but I've never dealt with them.) -- Jerry decvax!yale-comix!leichter leichter@yale
