[net.chess] a computer chess magazine/journal

mclure%sri-unix@sri-unix.UUCP (07/09/84)

The ICCA Journal is a quarterly publication of the International
Computer Chess Association. Many of its members are the computer
scientists and programmers who work on the chess programs. Others are
interested onlookers.

At the end of this message is the address to write to for a
subscription.

Originally, the journal was a rather unremarkable newsletter.
Recently it went to a magazine-like, slick layout and is quite
a nice publication.

To give you a taste of the articles, here are some titles and
authors from recent issues:

"Using Time Wisely" by R.M. Hyatt (Cray Blitz author)

"Mixing Heuristic and Perfect	by D.F. Beal

"Computer Chess: Trick or Treat?" by H.J. van den Herik and
