There is a brief section in the OMNIDISK manual about speaker placement. I don't think you'll find it very helpful. However, the records do provide "pink" noise and well recorded music passages. These will be helpful for comparing speaker placements regarding the room's responses to both high and low frequencies, and proper imaging of music. For a better written source, I suggest you pick up a copy of "Hi-Fi Loudspeakers and Enclosures" by Abraham B. Cohen and published by Hayden Book Company in Rochelle Park, NJ. This is one of the best books I've come across on speakers, speaker placement and room adjustments. It's a "classic" that is periodically updated. You may want to find a book on recording studio or concert hall design. There are many adaptations you can make to your listening room to compensate for speaker placement and type, room resonances, sound absorption, sound reflection, and reverberation times. I prefer to adapt the room for listening than to add an equalizer to change the music. The room is a speaker enclosure and it is possible select a room plan that can accommodate many types of music. Good luck. Bill Steward cmcl2!rocky2!steward
