[net.audio] need advice on car speakers.

     I have a new used Nova and want to put some speakers in is.  It already
has the holes for 6x9 speakers so I'd like to stick with those.  I know
Jensen does real good with home speakers, but I've heard lots of bad things
about their car speakers.  A local dealer has Hitachi speakers at what he
claims to be a good price but no one seems to know anything about them.
Help please....

          I am a professional DJ, and would like some feedback from all
you folks out there:
            I want to improve my system, andparticularly my speaker system and
my turntables. I am familiar with English brand speakers, as I am from
London, but these tend to be very overpriced here. What do you think
would be a good speaker system, compridsed of American brand speakers?
I need speakers which will deliver up to about 250 watts rms per channel,
and will have a good base response (especially needed for reggae and disco)
anAND will have good response in the mid and high frequencies. BUT I have
only limited funds.
            VConcerning turntables: I have been told that the TECHNICS
SL-1200 are the best avapossible DJ turntables, but I have also been
told that they are no longer in production.
             Any comments?
