They are identical except that one is meant for use as stage monitors and is in a slanted cabinet. These cabinets are extremely efficient ( approx. 115 db. at 1 watt) and sound fairly good. You can check them out at your local music store ( not stereo store) to see if they would suit your needs. These speakers are road-worthy. They even have recessed handles to aid in transportation but they are rather large so if you want to hall them in the truck of a car you might want to reconsider. In this case I would recommend looking at Bose. I'm not that crazy about Bose sound quality but they will handle power and get LOUD. Dave Burris ihlpf!burris BTL - Naperville
