[net.audio] equalizers and what ever happened to SWTPC

SWTPC is now only in the computer business.
Their amps and preamp(s?) represented a sharp
breakaway from the mainstream audio marketing
philosophy when they first came out. Good
quality for low dollar outlay. I sort of regard
them as the spiritual father of Hafler. The actual
father of Hafler of course is Dynaco. I had one of
their 212a preamps and (still have) four Tiger 1 power
amps. All worked well and for a long time. Two
of the amps reside in my garage to drive small advents
(another excellent value) while I work on the car.
Haflers (2xDH-200) do the job inside.
