Please don't generalize that "you get what you pay for." I have listened to a lot of systems in my life, and there have been plenty of lower priced speakers that, in my opinion, have excellent sound. Remember that what sounds good to you, may not sound good to me. Don't put someone down for appreciating good sound at a lower price.

I, as mentioned earlier, thoroughly agree with Ken N.'s comments. Unfortunately, in the real world, one cannot manufacture a high end $100 spker and make a profit. Speaker makers have to eat too. Bill Mitchell Bell Laboratories - Whippany NJ (whuxk!wjm)

I'm glad to hear that someone else out there can appreciate high-end and understand why "the best" costs so much. I know that some top $ equipment isn't worth the money (to me), but there is a lot of really good stuff available today that comes very close to a real performance... and after all, it's the music that matters.
