Thanks to all those who sent me mail or posted information about cartridge trackability. Having just bought a new stylus assembly for my ULM55 cartridge and finding the sound much improved, I think that was the problem. I can now track the last 10 seconds of "Crises" and play my records without fear of damaging them. What was disturbing was the varied stories on stylus wear and tracking from different hi-fi stores. I'll be happy when CD's remove the wear component from consideration. p. rowley, U. Toronto
