Some time ago, I read an article that gave the exact ingredients in (at that time) D3 fluid. I'll have to dig it up at home and post it later. Basically, it is approx. 99.9% water, with some surfactant, preservative, and anti-algae ingredients. I was working in research at that time and it was quite easy to mix with what was on hand in the lab. More later on the exact ingredients.

Isn`t this a description of wetting fluid for hard contact lenses? Is that cheaper than D4? How about liquid detergent and distilled water? Anyway, any fluid at all makes mud in the grooves and goops up the stylus. Why not use a Dust Bug (dry)? And Groov-Stat or equivalent?

In reply to Andrew re: d4 dissolving his stylus... Some time ago I listed the ingredients of d3 (I haven't seen the listing for d4, but suspect it is much the same), it is 99.916% very pure distilled water, .004% NaN3, .005% propylene glycol, and .075% Triton X 114. I seriously doubt that this solution could dissolve the stylus adhesive. Marc Sabransky Durham VA Med Ctr Durham, NC [duke, mcnc]!dvamc!ms (and to Andrew - I'm from Chardon, OH)
