[net.audio] WFMT - Chicago's Fine Arts Station

hazard@ihuxe.UUCP (Bryant S. Hazard) (01/12/84)

One of WFMT's less acknowledged assets is it's policy of having the
announcer read all advertisements. Pre-recorded messages are never
used and musical jingles out of the question. The only exception to
this policy is political ads. To insure fairness the ads are
broadcast from tape supplied by the candidate without any
intervention or modification.

How I wish more radio stations, regardless of type of music, would
adopt this policy.
