The subject of record care has arisen again, and again someone recommend the Discwasher line. It has been claimed in this newsgroup in the past that the total contents of D4 fluid are over 99 % very pure water, and a little antifungicide. Has anyone ever seen a comparison between D4 and distilled water for record cleaning? Is Discwasher taking us in? On their blurb they have some "designed to impress" charts comparing D4 to TAP water; fine. But how about it? Should I never buy buck and a half an ounce D4 again, but rather "dime a gallon" distilled?
