[net.audio] advice sought on re-recording cassettes

  What's the story on re-recording cassettes?  A friend has told me that
it's not so much the age of the tape, as how many recordings its had done
to it that matters.  So, since then, I pause my deck when peaking so as not
to *wear out* that first five minutes of tape.
