In response to Mark Malleltt:

I think that it was in the January Grammophone that I read an article written
by a European officer of the AES who visited the Bose factory during a recent
visit. He explained to Amar that he felt tht there was perhaps a difference
between the Bose philosophy in playback and the typical European approach
to miking /monitoring. In any case, the author said that Amar listened
patiently and then offered some very convincing arguments (both scientific
and demonstration wise) to support the Direct/Reflecting method. The author
also stated that he frelt that the 9012's were capable of some very musical
sounds.

I think I remenmber reading about a Technics sld-3? in the new products section
of Stereo Review of r High Fidelity a few months ago. A linear tracker with
pitch control.
