*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH A KATE BUSH LINE *** I think it's great that there's been so much interest on the net recently about Kate Bush. I wrote something on here about two years ago about her. That was back when about the only thing being talked about on the net was who the world's greatest guitarist was. More than a year went by and nobody said anything else about her. Now there's so much about her its probably making some people sick.(though not me) I think its high time that America discovered her. I could be selfish and wish that she would still be anonymous over here so that I could feel privy to something that not too many people knew. But with a talent as great as hers I think that it should be recognized. True, not everybody could get into her music but I think SHE deserves the recognition. The only videos I've seen of her were on the USA network and ONCE on MTV. Luckily I had my VCR ready. I've got "The Man With the Child in His Eyes", "Wuthering Heights" and "Sat In Your Lap". Obviously, I'd like to get more. I know of 2 videotapes of her but the local video stores (INCLUDING TOWER RECORDS!!) don't carry it. I haven't yet tried to order them. Are they available in the U.S.? Has anyone ever ordered one? Also, is there any videotapes of her live appearances on British TV? I'd like to see some of those. When Saturday Night Live went into syndication I thought I'd finally be able to tape her appearance on that show. (it was one hosted by Eric Idle) Apparently, in the conversion from a 90 minute show for the network into a 60 minute show for syndication they chose to snip HER appearance. Can you believe that? Am I wrong on that one? Maybe they just never showed the right Eric Idle episode on our local channel. As far as a splinter group for Kate Bush fanatics how 'bout calling it net.music.bushwhackers :-) Dreaming...... Barry
