[net.audio] speaker query

Has anyone out there had any experience with the high-end KEF speakers
(I think they're the 105.4's). How do they compare to Klipschorns and
or Ohm Walsh 2's. I'm thinking about a speaker with flat frequency response
and principally listen to classical music. Please reply by mail (whuxk!wjm)
unless you'd like to post a general reply to the net. Thanx in advance.

I'm considering getting a new set of speakers :-
General background information:-
Price isn't too much of a constraint (say $2K for the pair, give or take)
Amp is a Hafler DH-220 (115w/ch into 8 ohms, 175 w/ch into 4 ohms, with about
3 db of dynamic headroom)
Listening room is 30 x 11 x 8 (feet) and the speakers will be on one 11 ft wall
and tends to be on the dead side.
Musical tastes are classical and some easy listing/country pop - not at very
high volume. However, much of this material has wide dynamic range (dbx
encoded disks and the like).
I've been thinking about KEF 105.4's or a used pair of Quad ESL-63's.
Someone also recommended Snell Type C's or Klipschorns.
Does anyone have any recommendations (especially dirt) on these or any other
suitable models.
Thanx in advance,
Bill Mitchell

In my attic there is a Brociner transcendent speaker, c. 1955. It
is a Klipschorn with a Lawther PM-6 handling everything above 250 Hz.
It's an excellent speaker, but it is a large corner unit and won't fit
in my living room. Are there people interested in vintage speakers
who might like to have this thing?
