[net.chess] update on Sargon III for the Macintosh

I spoke with the authors, Dan and Kathe Spracklen, at the recent ACM
Computer Chess Championship in San Francisco. Kathe informed me that
Sargon III is on the shelves. Unfortunately it is not as strong as the
Prestige and Elite chess machines manufactured by FIdelity (also
Spracklen programs) and comes out at about 1800 ELO rating points.
However, for someone who has a Macintosh, it is the cheapest way to own
a class A chess program ($50) vs. the $500 or more one would pay for
the others. Also, I imagine its features are such that it is more
"fun" to use than the chess machines.
