I received many enthusiastic replies which I have just summarized on net.followup. Briefly, for this newsgroup, it seems that "Stax Stacks Up", to coin a phrase. Superb quality, Stratospheric price, no discounting except non-standard imports (no warranty), extreme comfort, absurd looks in some models.
