With it, I got five free CD's: "Thriller", Men at Work's something, Telarc "1812", and the "Firebird". I purchased 10 CD's that evening and have since purchased five more. I agree that Telarc is quite reliable, but there ARE some good albums that aren't Telarc. The most notable are the Windham Hills albums (high quality analog records of small ensembles). The CBS recordings are about as good as you might expect, that is, dreadful. From the reviews I've seen, the DG albums run hot/cold. (The Von Karajan (Berlin Philharmonic) recording of the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony is quite nice, for example.) If you haven't run out to get a CD player, think about the Technics low-end model. It possesses few "neat features" but boasts a fine sound. Jeff Bowles Lisle, IL
