() I would appreciate advice to help complete an old project, just resumed. In 1977, I modified an AR-XB turntable by adding a SME 3009 Model II tonearm. The AR motor bearings have since sounded rough, and the tonearm needs to be set up. I've lost the SME manual. I do have the alignment gauge and have set the arm base adjustment for cartridge alignment. My cartridge is an ADC XLM MkII, I don't know its weight (which I believe is necessary for the stylus force weight "arm" lateral adjustment). I'm also worried that the elastomeric mounts on the stylus may have deteriorated due to their age. Please help me with: Finding a replacement motor for the AR. A wiring diagram to install the motor, or reinstall the noisy one. Calibrated longitudinal placement of the stylus force weight (assuming the main counterweight is set to balance). Lateral placement of the stylus force weight "arm". Location for the pulley "support" for the anti-skating weight. Setting for the anti-skating weight. Tonearm pivot height relative to the platter, should the arm be level?
