If you've read this far, you've probably seen a picture of the output of a CD player when trying to reproduce a square wave. Doesn't look much like a square wave, does it? Well, if you take that waveform and sample it at the appropriate rate, you will get a series of samples that are INDISTINGUISHABLE from samples of a square wave. What reason is there to choose one over the other on playback?
